Haunted Fun at the Scruffy City Soiree

On Saturday, September 21, 2013, The Scruffy City Soiree, an auction-style fundraiser for the Knox Heritage Society was hosted at The Foundry. This annual fall fundraiser provides support for many important Knox Heritage programs and services and makes it possible for Knox Heritage staff to advocate every day for historic places in Knoxville and throughout the 16- county region. This year’s theme for the fundraiser was “Hauntings of Westwood” and internationally recognized paranormal Historian J-Adam Smith, to show support for the organization’s work, generously donated the featured item to the auction, a special opportunity for 8 to investigate the Historic Westwood Manor.   Due to his generous donation, the bidding for the special event closed at $2,000! J-Adam Smith was very pleased with that the donated event gained such a huge amount of favor at the event was able to ultimately help such an amazing organization continue its mission of helping Historic Landmarks in the East Tennessee Region.
